More Info

Literacy is one of the best predictors of a child’s future success.

·       One child in four Houston students do not meet minimum standards at Grade 3.

·       2/3 of students who cannot read proficiently by the end of Grade 4 will end up in jail or on welfare.

·       72,000 Houston Independent School District students are reading below grade level.
