Big news! A (new) friend has offered to join me for my attempt. They have more experience swimming and I'd love the company so the solo has become a duo.
Because of the recent addition the swim is being pushed to May 13th. Between their schedule and the tides this is the next best time. All the funds raised in the next week will be deposited as soon as the fundraiser ends. No reason to wait to get this money out.
Swam 0.6 of a mile today at Baker Beach!

Whatever is raised will be split evenly between the top four campaigns listed in the @LetsTalkPalestine linktree on Instagram.

I will match every donation up to $5,000. The goal is to turn our 5 into 10.
My open water swim is 2 miles and is by no means assured. The goal is to cross the fast ebbing tide and land on Chrissy Fields Beach. If I don't make it and they have to pull me out I'll contribute the amount I spent on securing the boat and materials which comes to roughly $800 to this campaign on top of the match. If I do make it across, I ask that you consider doubling your donation!
I will attempt the swim on April 15th.
