The Standbys

We are Denver Roller Derby’s competitive C Level travel team, formed to give more Denver skaters the opportunity to gain sanctioned interleague bout experience. Standbys skaters are primarily made up of those who are interested in sanctioned competitive play or have just graduated from DRD’s new skater program, Flight School.The Standbys are technically considered a “C Level” travel team, but often competitively play at a C+ / B Level.We have also developed an unranked team, dubbed the "Layovers" for Standbys skaters who have minimal to no bout experience. Layover games will focus more on getting newer skaters bout experience.

Our mission is to make sure that Standby skaters have fun, are provided with a safe space to develop new skills, and are afforded fair and equitable opportunities to play competitively. Cheap Flights, F*** Yeah!!
