Happy Tiny Family Baking

From Jehan N Bluford

The scent of those pies filled my grandma's house most weekends. And during the holidays, we could practically live off pie alone. She baked as her primary way of employment. She was born in the 1930s (and still with us) and didn't graduate from high school. Those pies, recipes she learned from her mother and aunts and elders, were how she put TWO kids through college, with the help of her wonderful husband. That's the story of Sarah's.

My grandmother taught me to bake. Baking was just a way of life in my house. My grandmother made sure we all went to college, and were able to establish great careers, but baking, that was home.

In 2019, I started baking for family and friends. I enjoyed being in the kitchen, reaching back for the ingredients and recipes that I had watched my family prepare for my entire life.

[Then something happened in 2020...  or, so I hear :-)) ... and that REALLY hurt my business!!]

Over the last two years, I have worked hard to regain my customers and grow the business. We have expanded to new partnership, but face some limiting factors. With new equipment, I can have a space certified so that I can expand my production capacity.

If I have have the funding prior to the 2023 Thanksgiving holiday baking season, I have the ability to capitalize greatly off the investment and solidify our business in our current market.
