Last year when I first moved to my city, I didn't have state insurance and wracked up 2k in medical bills given my neck was growing a large cyst since Oct. 2022. I finally have insurance but can't back date it, sadly.

My bills were made after I first moved to Oshkosh, WI, from Hedgesville, WV. They are through Mercy, I got insurance in July of 2023 finally, but they are unwilling to backdate the bills. I had at least one ER visit, my health has not been great due to the cyst, though things fortunately have looked up in recent times- I had one surgery that helped get rid of the infection of the cyst. I still have surgery to go, and heart issues, but thankfully those are coverable now! Any help to pay off these past bills would be much appreciated, I would like to put it behind me.
